Reading your road signs I am sitting with you in a tan falcon, wondering if we have gone to your parents' house. No, we went to Kitchener, I think. I imagine you when I first met you. You lived in an isolated looking three story 50s style apartment, out of a cronenberg movie. Flash to
cabbage pierced with 100 toothpicks packing cocktail onions and sliced weiners at your gracious hostess party at 11 and one half Quebec Street... decks of Export A Cigarettes were offered. I wore blue crepe....Were you nostalgic while you were driving?

it's actually an 81 maroon olds cutlass and I did go to Kitchener to pick up my brother and my mother and I did pass by that very apartment building, that is and was exactly as you described it...sadly the nostalgia conjured is mostly effaced and replaced by another nostalgia & by the purpose of my journey...to visit my now dying father in the Guelph General Hospital. There is some reading related to this. I'm just working myself up to be able to talk about it...
