My Year of Reading
Adopting the persona of a "lectrice errante", Anne reads, wanders, muses on reading and invites suggestions and comments about books and/or on reading. The project runs from 14 November 2005 - 14 November 2006.

I can make inferences, if that's what reading is.
It is immediate and summarizes a whole. I think it honestly does mean hope and a knot of wishes. The hand is vertical leaning to the left slightly so to me it reads as a hope to hang onto to something from the past, as opposed to hoping for something to happen. It is also telling, not asking. There's a worry on the thumbnail, but the nails are smoothe and healthy. The clothes breathe. There's a bright light on the subject, who casts a smooth shadow outline. It is a stark image. It is a fist with an extension of the interests of the individual contained by wisdom (opposing thumb). The hand looks youthful to me. I can't call it up on the screen as I write so i'm using memory. The dark blue on the jersey, the newspaper and the thing in the background are there too, but i'm going to ignore them.
